Be Sure To Measure Twice And Drill Once When Mounting 3d TVs
Mounting of the large 40 inch or larger 3D TVs is no minor decision in most households. But if you’re changing over from a normal table top TV to large 3D TVs you might need some adjustment period as you first choice might prove to be unusable under certain circumstances. That’s a rude awakening when you have just bolted the mounting to the wall with 4 or more giant molly bolts. You don’t just move 3D TVs around the living room like a sofa until you find the right spot.
The problem is compounded with 3D TVs of the plasma variety as the problem, might not be a physical location trouble, but a viewing location that is bad and out of the adjustment range of the mount. You’re stuck with moving the seating. Sometimes in a medium sized room, moving one chair might mean rearranging a number of other pieces just to accommodate the one. This could be trouble in the making especially if it’s the football loving hubby who mounted the TV, and his wife who was happily going along with this intrusion into her living room up till now.
While this idea won’t help much for accommodating the shortcomings of the display it can help in physical placement. Take the outer carton from the 3D TVs shipping cardboard and use it as a light weight and easily moveable template to arrange the furniture with. Once you’ve tried all variables and have fit everything into the room in a viewable location, then dig out the drills and hammers!
